Made to Stick written by Dan & Chip Heath is a book about answering the question: “Why some ideas survive and others die.” I found the stories, antidotes, and the acronym – SUCCESs inspiring. From mis-attributed quotes such as “Nice guys finish last,” to “Elementary, my dear Watson,” this book touches on the fascinating realm of why certain ideas thrive. The acronym SUCCESs stands for: Simple (find the core), Unexpected (surprise), Concrete (knowledge curse), Credible (details & statistics), Emotional (association, self-interest), and Stories (use them). I honestly will come back to this book time and time again to relearn these lessons. Weather in giving a speech or writing a paper, using the SUCCESs acronym will greatly improve your communication.
